Over the summer of 2019, the Registrar conducted consultation on two specific issues: registerable communications; and Codes of conduct. The consultation documents can be viewed via the original consultation announcement here.
The Registrar has now finished assessing the responses he received to those consultations, and has reached his conclusions on what amendments (if any) to make to his existing guidance in these areas. These are downloadable via the links below.
Codes of conduct
The Registrar is currently developing amended guidance documents to incorporate the planned changes, and plans to publish these after the December election. At the time of publication, the Registrar will specify from when that new guidance will take effect, incorporating a transitional period in respect of the changes, where appropriate.
